A Question to all L lovers

What do you like about L? What about him makes him your favorite/ in your favorite characters in the show Death Note?

I'm writing a character analysis of the Death Note characters and I thought I'd start with L. Please leave a list of characteristics you like about him and/or examples from the anime/manga.
